Camping & Resort Sanguli Salou has won the ANWB award 'Camping of the Year 2023' in the new category of "Best Family Campsite near the sea". The award was collected on behalf of Sangulí Salou by Oriol Calderón, Business Control Director and Sergi Novell, Accommodation Director.
The award was issued by the ANWB, a Dutch association dedicated to mobility, tourism and leisure since 1883, with more than 4 million users.
More than 1,800 campsites from all over Europe were considered for this awards. To select the winners, independent inspections were carried out at all the tourist establishments during the summer of 2022. These inspections assessed the sanitary facilities, the grounds, swimming pools, leisure facilities, shops, and restaurants.
The winners were announced on the 11th January in a ceremony held in Utrecht. In addition, the campings that have achieved the maximum score of 5 stars were awarded with the ANWB Top Camping 2023 certification. Sanguli Salou has once again renewed this certificate.
Season 2023
This award is a reward for the work done year after year. Sangulí Salou is now focusing on its 51st season, with improvements to the site for next season.
In terms of publicity, this year Sangulí is travelling to the Netherlands, Germany and Navarra to take part in various international tourism trade fairs, to reinforce its international reputation. The adventure starts at the Vakantiebeurs Fair in Utrecht, which will be held from the 12th to 15th of January. This is one of the most important tourism and leisure trade fairs in the country, where many travel agencies, other countries and companies present new products and services.
The second stop will be at CMT Stuttgart 2023, the most visited tourism fair in Germany, which will take place from the 14th to 22nd January. The last stop will be at Navartur, the Navarra International Tourism Fair, which will be held from the 24th to 26th February.
