Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou wins, for the second consecutive year, the 2019 campsite of the year award.

 The award has been in the Best Accommodation category.

 It is awarded by ANWB, the Royal Dutch Touring Club, which has more than 4 million users.

Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou, which belongs to our business group, has won for the second time in a row, the ANWB award to the 2019 campsite of the year in the Best Accommodation category. This year, the selection process for the winner has been, for the first time, completely public. More than 35.000 votes were submitted by ANWB users. Hence, while Sangulí received the award in 2018 thanks to the independent inspections carried out by the institution, in 2019 it was thanks to the votes cast by the club’s families and campsite users. The award is given by ANWB, an 1883 Dutch association for mobility, tourism and recreation with more than 4 million users.

 Altogether, in this edition three awards were given in three different categories: Best Accommodation, Best Campsite for Families and the Greenest Campsite. In each category, there were a national winner and a European winner. Ten of the twenty finalists were from the Netherlands, two of them from Spain, four from France, two from Germany, one from Sweden and one from Luxemburg.

 In addition, Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou has been selected, once more, one of the best campsites in Europe. On the one hand it has received the 2019 Top Camping certification, which is also given by ANWB. On the other hand, it has obtained again the international certification SuperPlatz 2019 to the 5 stars campsites. This recognition is awarded, every year, by the prestigious German guide ADAC, the largest automobile club in Europe. It has more than 18 million members, who decide which are the best campsites. The fact that the club gathers so many German campers adds more value and representativeness to the result. Being in the list means a recognition of the sector. 

Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou has ratified for the consecutive year the award to the best accommodation thanks to thematic focus that one can experience across the complex.  Sangulí looks for a story that guides the experience. From there, the aim is to capture the identity of the business looking for inspiration in other worlds. In total there are 12 typologies of accommodation inspired by Africa, the Caribbean, Polynesia and the Mediterranean. In addition, keeping Sanguli’s philosophy, all accommodations follow a sustainability criteria.
